The 3 Women Musical...

with the closing of 9 to 5 the musical, i started thinking; how many more of "The 3 Women Musicals" are we going to have to endure?! Mamma Mia! a show that kind of falls into this category, is any self-respecting gay man's therapy, so i will give it a pass. and yes, 9 to 5 was a lot of fun, but now with Vanities and The First Wives Club, i'm starting to get a little worried. ok The Witches of Eastwick never made it to Bway, but it got close! and now i hear talk of Clueless the musical...i'm really starting to sweat. what's next Charlie's Angels?!

in praise of Aaron!

The highly anticipated Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's Tony Award-winning musical, A Little Night Music, (which has been entrusted to director Trevor Nunn) has opted for a younger take on the casting. You ask yourself, what's young...how's this, a one Mr. Aaron Lazar (A Tale of Two Cities and Les Misérables) as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm? I have to admit when I first heard this I had a hard time rapping my head around the idea...but then I thought some more and I came to this conclusion. After Lazar steps into this role, I don't think a sexiest ass-whole will ever look this good again. Other casting still pending.

you go Nick Adams!

Bookmark and Share

ok here's the skinny; after the fabulous Nick Adams (A Chours Line and Guys & Dolls) and his BF were not allowed into New York Bar for lack of "dress code" (or lack of heterosexuality), Nick did what every savvy dancing-queen would do, he got on his f-ing twitter! the man has a freaking army of fans at his disposal. needless to say the bar was flooded with complaints; i hope the world learns you don't mess with an "A-Gay" like Nick. below is the advocate article, check it out.

Joanna Lumley is "Absolutely Fabulous"

this is the kind of actor i want to be! not only is this woman a brilliant performer and comic, she fights for what she believes is right and just. she has been a Goddess in my book for some time, but if it's possible, she has just moved up!
